HomeTrak is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google profile information.
Home and Asset Data
We store the maintenance data you enter — assets, tasks, service records, documents, photos, and provider information. This data is associated with your account and household.
Usage Data
We collect basic usage information to improve the service, including pages visited and features used.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the HomeTrak service, send maintenance reminders and notifications (if you opt in), process payments through Stripe, and provide customer support.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-Party Services
HomeTrak uses the following third-party processors:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — email delivery
- Google — OAuth login and Calendar sync
- OpenAI — AI data plate scanning and maintenance recommendations
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
Data Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are stored using bcrypt hashing. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data from unauthorized access.
Your Rights
